Dr Richard Savdie is a highly experienced urologist and uro-oncology surgeon based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

He treats benign and cancerous conditions of the prostate, kidneys, bladder and testes, as well as performing reconstructive surgery of the urinary tract and sexual organs.

The bladder is a hollow organ located in the lower abdomen that stores urine produced by the kidneys.

Prostate Disease & BPH Expert

Dr Richard Savdie has considerable expertise treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and performing minimally invasive prostate cancer surgery.

He offers some of the latest BPH treatments, including Rezūm water vapour (Steam) treatment and the Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) procedure.

Dr Savdie performs a high volume of prostate cancer surgery in both the public and private hospital setting, and is actively involved in prostate cancer clinical research and clinical trials.

Dr Richard Savdie specialises in minimally-invasive robotic (“keyhole”) surgery, using the cutting-edge da Vinci Xi Surgical System.

The da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system allows urological surgeons to perform surgery with enhanced precision, improved visualisation, and reduced invasiveness, which offers patients less post-operative pain and faster recovery from surgery.

Dr Savdie has undertaken extensive sub-specialised fellowship surgical training using the da Vinci surgical system and fully utilises this advanced technology when indicated.
